Welcome to the Parliamentary Dimension of Ireland’s EU Presidency

Ireland held the Presidency of the Council of the European Union for the first half of 2013. Eight major events were hosted by the Houses of the Oireachtas which in all attracted over one thousand delegates from across the European Union and beyond. Concluding the programme of meetings, COSAC took place in Dublin Castle on 24 and 25 June, where parliamentarians discussed moves towards an outward looking European Union.
